Dominic Nunneri joined the firm in 2014. His practice is focused on estate planning, business organization, real estate, municipal and water law, and civil and probate litigation.
Dominic assists high-net-worth families and individuals in crafting an estate plan that promotes wealth preservation and maximizes tax advantages available under current law. He has drafted generation-skipping trusts to maximize asset growth and avoid or minimize estate tax over multiple generations.
In addition, Dominic has prepared qualified domestic trusts to address the needs particular to non-U.S. citizens. He also has prepared trusts covering unusual situations, such as complex “pet trusts” under special provisions of California law. He assists in the administration of trusts after the trustors have passed away, and in the event of a legal dispute, represents clients in all stages of probate litigation.
Dominic has formed several business entities, and assists with the maintenance related to the operation of those entities. Coming from a family business background, he intimately understands the issues and concerns faced by business owners, and uses this insight to better serve clients. If a legal dispute arises, he represents business entities in all stages of civil litigation.
Dominic assists in serving as general and special counsel to public agencies, primarily water districts and port districts. He routinely addresses issues arising under the Brown Act, the Public Records Act and statutes governing public contract bidding procedures. He also represents public agencies in all stages of litigation, as well as clients involved in real estate disputes, including landlord/tenant matters, purchase/sale matters and commercial development.
Dominic graduated from UCLA, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science, cum laude. He subsequently earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While at USC he was a member of the Mediation Clinic, where he mediated over 40 small claims cases. Dominic and his wife are board members of the Italian American Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Pasadena Bar Association. He enjoys hiking, traveling, and rooting for the Lakers and the Dodgers.
